فهو لا يعرف الحب وما معناه
ضيعت عمري والآن
أدركت كنهي ومعنى الهوى وأريد ان أنساه
وابحث عن حب جديد
أبتغي الإلفة فيه..
أبتغي حلواه
يا جميل المحيا
اخبرني بالذي تهواه
وكيف ترجو شيئا أنت تجهل ما يبتني فحواه
إن كنت لا تعرف الحب
فلم لم تتعلمه من طائر
غرد في صباح الحديقة
ردد الكون رجع صداه
جعلته الطبيعة يتعلق بها وانت لا تنتبه للبروق التي
غطت الآفاق بالأمواه
وما إن رأيت ضعف نبضك
صحت من وجل،
وتركت عصفور الغرام
للذي سواه
غنى سمح هديل
انه حامد للذي
غرس الحب في مغناه
كان يشبه ذاك الذي
في مخيلتي المتعبة
بملامحه والوسامة،
مركزه الآن في القلب مني
فكيف لي أن أغض طرفي
عن جمال المغاني
كيف لي سلواه
فقد شعرت بأني
نجمة في سماه
كأنني لم اعرف الحب قبلا،
قبل رؤيتي عشه
ولولا التأمل لم أكن لأراه
فكيف لمن عاش عمر الضياع
كأعمى البصيرة يبصر
بين الأصيل من العسجد اللامع المستفيق البريق وبين الحديد المغطى بقبح صداه
فيجد الفوارق سدت
مدى رؤية الصب،
فالأصل أبقى على ما سواه
